We love visiting different cities across the US and learning about the history and culture of each area. We love finding little hidden gems and unique things to do in those places even more!  Today, we’re sharing some interesting and fun activities to try the next time you’re on your way to Nashville. Find some new things to photograph, fascinating tours to try, and experience the city like you’ve never seen it before.  We think you’ll truly love these eight unique experiences to explore in Nashville, Tennessee!

Take in a show at The Caverns.  Renowned worldwide for hosting incredible live music performances in an utterly unique natural setting, this cave system venue is like nothing you’ve ever seen or heard before.  During the day you can book a special guided tour of the caves and get an up close look at the stage, or sign up for an adventure tour deep underground. By night, you can experience a one-of-a-kind cave concert at The Caverns Amphitheater or below ground at Big Mouth Cave.  It’s a new way to connect with the region’s local history and deep dive into the musical culture of the area!

Sign up for a NASCAR Racing Experience at the Nashville Speedway.  Sign up for an incredible 8 minutes of Track Time on the speedway itself, as you drive alongside professional drivers on the actual NASCAR track!  One-on-one instructions and a training session precede the race experience, and then you’re off to a multiple lap experience, with passing the slowpokes allowed of course!  These experiences have limited availability, so you’ll want to book well in advance to ensure your spot. And of course, time your visit well and you can get your adrenaline pumping at one of the many races and special events at the Speedway, too.

Book a narrated bus tour of the stately homes of more than 30 celebrities.  Enjoy a leisurely 2-hour narrated sightseeing tour of the area and see the homes of celebrities and musicians both past and present. From superstars like Taylor Swift and Martina McBride and more, you’ll get to learn a little more about them and see their incredible houses and estates.

Take a Line-Dancing class at Stomping Grounds and fit in with the locals. Beginners can enjoy a class with three basic dances as a group, making it perfect for a date night, family event, or girls-trip outing.  Or you can book a private line dancing trip if you schedule ahead of time, and learn up to 3 dances and get a commemorative video of the experience.

Go on a Mural Scavenger Hunt around the city on the Murals & Margaritas Tour. Your knowledgeable tour guide will take you around the most iconic neigihborhoods in Nashville, and stop at the most creative and unique photo-op murals.  You’ll enjoy a 3 hour tour providing incredible photos for memory making that ends in an amazing roof-top view of the city and an ice cold margarita!

Take a stroll through the city at night on a mysterious “Murder in Music City” night-time ghost walking tour.  Explore the dark, mysterious secrets of Nashville’s history with the mob and the hidden history of Music City on this 90-minute true-crime tour.  It’s a fascinating perspective on the city for those who have seen and heard all the traditional history tours and seen the typical historic sites.

Visit the Lane Motor Museum and peruse the unique and interesting collectible vehicles.  The Nashville Lane Motor Museum is home to 150 European automobiles and vehicles starting from the 1900s and up to today.  You’ll find a vast selection of quirky vehicles such as amphibious cars, alternative fuel vehicles, one-of-a-kind vehicles, curious prototypes, miniature autos, and creative custom motorcycles.  The museum also has a rotating group of exhibits including one highlighting Competition Classics, Video Game Cars, Station Wagons from around the world, and many more.  Time your trip for one of the unique family-friendly Museum Fun Days and get even more in depth tours of the vault, vehicle demonstrations, and hands-on demonstrations.

Wander through the whimsical and brilliant George Boedecker Sculpture Garden. These marvelous sculptures are scattered throughout the property, nestled in the Bellevue neighborhood.  The sculptures are part of a curated collection by a Mexican artist that George Boedecker, founder of Crocs footwear, met on a business trip. Thus far you’ll find larger than life statues of a tiger, lion, and bear (oh my!) as well as several dinosaurs.  Boedecker plans to expand the project further, including 5 new velociraptors!  His hope is to bring joy to the community as well as leaving a lasting legacy to his family and grandchildren, so the grounds can be enjoyed for decades to come.  Bodecker’s non-profit organization also helped fund the local Riverside Revival arts and events space in Nashville, which is worthy of another stop while you’re in the area.
