Take a Day to Visit the Chicago Auto Show

McCormick Place in Chicago is beckoning our Waukegan, IL customers from Classic Toyota to visit the Chicago Auto Show from Feb. 9-20. It’s less than an hour’s drive south to see some of the newest debuts of Toyota vehicles.

The Toyota brand exhibitor space will feature 19 production vehicles and two new debut models: the 2018 Toyota CH-R crossover and the 2018 Toyota Camry sedan.

Crossover vehicles are some of the trendiest vehicles among all auto manufacturers. The 2018 Toyota CH-R is turning heads due to its comfortable ride and safety features such as its dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, blind spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, and radar cruise control. You’ll get a chance at the show to look under its hood at the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine producing 144 horsepower and matched with a continuously-variable automatic transmission.

One of our most popular vehicles year after year is the Toyota Camry sedan. That’s why we’re sure there will be a crowd surrounding the new 2018 Toyota Camry. Three engines will be available: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that pairs to an eight-speed automatic transmission, a 3.5-liter V6, and a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). Toyota Camry owners depend on new technology and safety features. The 2018 model offers pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and stability control.

If you are a Waukegan customer searching for an environmentally-friendly vehicle, you’ll find what you need at the show and on our showroom floor. Production vehicles such as the 2017 Toyota Prius, 2017 Toyota Prius C, and 2017 Toyota Prius V will be on full display. Depending on your needs, the C version is a compact hybrid that seats five while the V model is a wagon version.

Then there’s the 2017 Toyota Mirai four-seat vehicle that uses hydrogen as its fuel-cell energy source and an electric motor to generate 153 horsepower. It has been given an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 67 mpge. Get a good look at the show; currently it’s only sold in California.
