This family-owned and operated resort boasts some of the coldest temperatures in the state, allowing it a significant advantage over other ski areas with jampacked features: at 2,200 feet the Timberline Trail is the longest trail in Ohio; 5 impressive terrain parks for all skill levels; Adaptive Sports Connection allowing accessibility in winter sports for visitors with disabilities; and much more. With state of the art snowmaking capabilities and superior trail grooming, Snow Trails also offers extended days for skiing and snowboarding where other resorts will shutter up for the season. Boston Mills Ski and Brandywine Ski Resorts in Peninsula are sister winter sports destinations linked by a convenient shuttle bus! Combined they offer 19 trails across 70 skiable acres and a 240-foot vertical drop for the adrenaline junkie in the midst. This family friendly resort duo is nestled in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park and has no shortage of thrills with those winter chills. Enjoy multiple lanes of snow tubing at the Polar Blast park, where you can decide on your preferred speed including Super Tubing. If you’re new to the winter sports sphere, we recommend signing up for some private or group lessons for skiing and snowboarding. The mountain also offers opportunities to enjoy skiing after dark on the moonlit slopes! Mad River Mountain in Bellefontaine is a top notch option for winter family fun with 21 runs in total over 144 skiable acres of terrain, and a challenging 300’ drop for those seeking maximum excitement. Start your day off at the Bubly Tubing Park and enjoy 2 hours of tubing for kids and adults alike. After a day of snowtubing you’ll want to take a little rest and refuel at the dining options on site, followed by a little Night Skiing for an after dark adventure. Of course, there’s a fantastic skiing and snowboarding school on premise that offers both private and semi-private lessons and family options. From 5PM to 12AM on select nights, the slopes will also be offering their signature Midnight Madness event, where you can score some significant discounts on nighttime lift tickets and rentals; hurry up and book ahead of time as these dates fill up quickly.
