Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) just announced it will renew its commitment to the Rebelle Rally! This premier women-only off-road navigation rally is the first of its kind in the United States! Covering 2,500 kilometers of terrain across Nevada and California, the rally blends passion for racing with the ultimate off-road challenge for adventure and thrillseekers. This 8 day event and competition requires precise navigation and unyielding dedication to the spirit of racing.
“This is an important event and beneficial opportunity to the women of our company,” said Kristen Tabar, group vice president, Advanced Mobility Research and Development at Toyota Motor North America. “The Rebelle Rally is a unique and empowering experience that aligns with our values of pushing boundaries, learning by doing, and fostering a supportive and inclusive culture. We believe that our team members will not only have a lot of fun and learn a lot from the adventure, but also bring back valuable insights and skills to their work and their teams.”
This year’s event will run from October 12th through October 21st over the challenging desert terrain of California and Nevada. Competitors will need top-notch precision in navigation, as no GPS or electronics may be used – they’ll rely only on a compass and a map!
For 2023’s Rebelle Rally, Toyota will have a total of 12 competitors join in for 6 groups to compete. Representatives will come from Toyota departments such as CALTY Design, Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, and Research & Development. And, of course, Toyota will once again be sponsoring the event and present the live webcast; as Silver Sponsor and Presenting Sponsor, Toyota will share the broadcast on the event website, YouTube, and Facebook. Coverage will have format review, standings, competitor interviews, live transmissions from the course, highlight reels, and an insider look at strategic planning.
“We are thrilled to renew our commitment to Rebelle Rally by becoming a Silver Sponsor and continuing as the official Presenting Sponsor of the Live Webcast. Not only does this sponsorship allow us to showcase our exceptional Toyota trucks, but it also enables us to support our team members’ remarkable endeavors,” said Lisa Materazzo, group vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor North America. “Being associated with such an empowering event is truly an honor, and we are eager to contribute to an unforgettable experience.”
