True Marksmanship: Fred’s take on the month at Classic Toyota

Hello everyone! Fred Marks here continuing my monthly blog series dedicated to the latest news from Toyota. In the spirit of summer and all the fun it brings, I’d like to spend some time this month to write about the 2014 Toyota Highlander. While this popular SUV certainly has the requisite capability to furnish your adventurous side over the summer months and beyond, the folks at Toyota have taken it a step further with a special Nickelodeon SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired Toyota Highlander.

This one-time concept is the first of its kind, and it pays tribute to the high-energy, positive character of the ever-popular children’s show, SpongeBob SquarePants. The concept features a bright, colorful interior and exterior themed after the Nickelodeon cartoon, and will be unveiled during an upcoming baseball game in San Diego before it embarks on a national promotional tour. The message: have fun when you drive and be safe!

 

I think this is a fine message to be communicating to the nation’s young people. And what better vehicle than the dynamic 2014 Toyota Highlander to do it with? This model year, the Highlander has received key updates, like  soft-touch interior materials, chrome plating and a more spacious third row, to compliment a performance and cargo package that can handle anything you throw at it. And while the Highlander you drive off the lot won’t be themed after any cartoons, it will feature a redesigned front end and altogether sleeker look.

 

As any Waukegan dealer will tell you, the 2014 Toyota Highlander is highly-anticipated for many reasons. First and foremost, as the new SpongeBob-inspired Highlander demonstrates, is the kind of fun, safe driving that Toyota vehicles have long been known for.
